Nike Kobe 6 Protro Grinch (2020)

At the end of 2020, Nike inaugurated a new chapter for the Kobe line, launching the reissue of the Nike Kobe 6 Grinch. This iconic shoe made its original debut in 2010, when Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers faced LeBron James' Miami Heat in a historic Christmas Day game. The new version undergoes the "Protro" upgrade – a reimagining of classic Kobe shoes with the integration of modern technology to enhance performance.

The Nike Kobe 6 Protro Grinch 2020 appear similar to the 2010 OG version, with their textured Green Apple and Volt upper, inspired by snakeskin and dedicated to Kobe's iconic nickname, "Black Mamba". The design is enriched with details like the black Swoosh, the red Kobe logo on the tongue, and the translucent green sole, which emphasize the shoe's reptilian style. However, being a Protro, this version includes substantial updates compared to the original model. In terms of performance, the new Kobe 6 Grinch offers improved Zoom Air technology, designed to ensure greater responsiveness and shock absorption during play. Furthermore, the traction pattern has been reduced to optimize court contact and offer a more natural, fluid feel. The silhouette has also been refined to offer a lower, more aerodynamic fit, perfect for those seeking speed and agility on the hardwood.

This reimagining represents a perfect balance between iconic aesthetics and the technical needs of modern athletes. The Kobe 6 Protro Grinch not only celebrate Kobe Bryant's legendary past, but raise the expectations for those who desire advanced performance with a bold style.
